Description
The Bull Moose Party was a progressive political party in the United States that was formed by former President Theodore Roosevelt in 1912. The party was also known as the Progressive Party and was created as a response to the conservative policies of the Republican Party at the time. Roosevelt had become disillusioned with the party he had once led, feeling that it had failed to keep pace with the changing social and economic conditions of the country.
The Bull Moose Party was founded on the principles of social justice, conservation, and political reform. It advocated for greater government regulation of businesses, the protection of workers' rights, and the conservation of natural resources. Although the party was short-lived, it had a significant impact on American politics and helped to pave the way for some of the progressive reforms of the early 20th century.
