Description
As the President of the United States, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, also known as FDR, implemented various policies to address the economic crisis during the Great Depression. He used various mediums such as Fireside Chats on the radio as a tool for public addresses. His policies, collectively known as the New Deal, focused on government intervention in the economy to provide relief, recovery, and reform. Through his policies, FDR provided various government programs to help the people, such as the Works Progress Administration (WPA), Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), and Social Security Act. These policies helped revive the economy and provided employment to millions of Americans. FDR's policies were also crucial during World War II, as the government continued to play a significant role in the economy to support the war effort.
