Henry Kissinger (1923 - 2023) was born in Germany in 1923 and fled to the United States in 1938 to escape Nazi persecution. He earned his PhD in political science from Harvard University and went on to become a prominent foreign policy advisor and diplomat. Kissinger served as National Security Advisor and later Secretary of State under Presidents Nixon and Ford, playing a key role in shaping American foreign policy during the Cold War. He was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1973 for his efforts to end the Vietnam War, and is widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in modern American diplomacy.
