As World War II loomed, Eleanor continued to fight for social justice and equality. She supported the establishment of the United Nations and served as the first Chairperson of the UN Commission on Human Rights. Her advocacy work helped to lay the foundation for the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which was adopted by the UN in 1948.
Throughout her life, Eleanor remained dedicated to advancing the cause of women's rights. She was a forceful advocate for women's suffrage and worked tirelessly to promote equal pay and opportunities for women in the workforce.
